Title and responsibilities

Deputy Director General, Department for Professional and Relevant SAIs.

I am a part of the leadership team at the IDI Secretariat. The department I lead, promotes and supports professionalism and relevance of SAIs through four value deliverables of competent SAI auditors, effective SAI audit leaders, sustainable SAI audit practices and raised SAI audit profile. We aim to provide long term predictable support through professional qualification for SAI auditors, support for system of audit quality management, support for setting up sustainable performance, compliance and financial audit practices. We facilitate audit impact by helping SAIs in strategic audit planning, robust follow up systems and building strong stakeholder coalitions. We encourage SAIs to stay relevant by auditing trending areas like digitalisation, climate action, 2030 agenda for sustainable development, equality and inclusion and sustainability reporting.

Special areas of expertise – Good knowledge of INTOSAI and SAIs, professional education and certification of SAI auditors, organisational systems development, leadership development, international development cooperation.
